Scoob!

By Alexandra

"Scoob!" is coming in theatres in May 2020 with an origin story about how the gang got together. Featuring flashbacks of baby Scooby (isn't he adorable?), who came to Shaggy as a stray, a scary trick-or-treat adventure where Shaggy and Scooby meet Fred, Velma and Daphne, and a (robot?) alien abduction, the film sparks nostalgia for everyone under the age of 50, who grew up with the original cartoon.

Let's hope the film will be strong enough to reel in the new generations.

Sonic The Hedgehog

By Alexandra

After huge fan backlash, Paramount released an updated Sonic trailer with everyone's favourite hedgehog redesigned to look more like the original game character. Sonic's eyes are larger, his legs shorter, he's got the nice white gloves and the red shoes that we've grown to love. Thank God they've got rid of the creepy human teeth and tiny eyes! It's refreshing to see studios listen to fans- even though they do it for their own good (and purse) anyway.

Sonic is coming out in theatres on the 14th of February in the new year- is it meant to be an alternative to romantic Valentine's movies? I'll take it over a rom-com any day.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run

By Christiana

The first trailer for "The SpongeBob Movie" is here and it looks like a lot of fun. We get a glimpse of  baby SpongeBob and Gary the Snail as they meet each other for the first time. After a life-long friendship and many great adventures shared together, Gary goes missing. Embark on this surprising adventure and help Bob and Patrick Star find their slippery friend before it is too late.

As Mötley Crüe`s "Kickstart My Heart" gives a bit of a wild approach to the setting, I am certain this will be a very nice and entertaining family film. Why is Keanu Reeves playing a tumbleweed, tho?

Fantasy Island

By Christiana

"Fantasy Island" is the place where everything and anything is possible. You get to live on a tropical island, in a very luxurious hotel, next to the people who make you happy. You even get the chance to make a wish and fulfill one fantasy that you have always dreamt of. What if your biggest fantasy was to control someone else`s life and suddenly, it was not an illusion anymore?

The good news is "Fantasy Island" is coming to theatres on the 14th of February 2020 (USA). The bad news is that it seems to lack substance as the script struggles to develop in a positive direction. Lucy Hale, Maggie Q, Michael Peña, Portia Doubleday, Kim Coates, Michael Rooker, Charlotte McKinney and Ryan Hansen star in this horror adaptation of the 70`s TV show.
