October 28th-November 3rd
Geralt of Rivia is a "witcher", one of the last few, a mutated human trained to fight monsters. He travels and fights across the continent. Perhaps due to his stature and reputation, people fear him even when he helps them, and there is a scene showing Geralt being stoned in a town square. His morality is not that of a saint, but he maintains his ethical code. For a person unfamiliar with the original books by Andrzej Sapkowski or with the video game, the trailer looks intriguing, and judging by the YouTube comments section, they've done a good job with the story.
Henry Cavill seems to be doing justice to the character.
There is a bath scene that is apparently important, as everyone on the internet is sending virtual winks over it. Let's see what it's about (I have a suspicion).
The series airs on Netflix on December 20.
The End of the Fucking World:
A fiery second season of "The End of the F***ing World" is coming to Netflix on November the 5th. The teaser trailer shows a sequence of clips from the past season, when James and Alyssa were on their way to freedom. A year after James was shot, fans are still wondering if he is dead. Ideally, the first episode will tell us what we need to know.
It seems as if Alyssa was forced to marry someone and perhaps, she`ll loose control right on her wedding day. She is also being investigated by the police now?
I hope we`ll get the answers to all of our questions soon.
The second trailer of "The Mandalorian" goes a little deeper into the bounty hunter's persona, although his background is still kept in the dark. He has a dry sense of humour, giving off the vibes of someone who has seen it all, who is tired and jaded. Pedro Pascal is playing the lone gunfighter and said that The Mandalorian has "a lot of Clint Eastwood in him" (Entertainment Weekly).
The series airs on Disney+ on November 12. The first season will have 8 episodes aired weekly (dang, no binge!).
A haunted house with a mysterious past is for sale. But what these real estate consultants don`t know is that once they step in, they can never go back. "The Grudge" tells the story of a dark, twisted creature that goes after everyone who has ever been to that house.
A pretty usual horror plot with a few decent scares, "The Grudge" will most likely fail to impress the audience, but until then let`s just wait and see if anything good comes out of this film.
Erm, is it a trailer, is it an ad, is it a fan tribute? The "Halloween Kills" trailer announces both the eponymous film (coming out in 2020) and the following one "Halloween Ends" (2021). Nick Castle, who played the horror character Michael Myers in the original 1978 film, will be back for a cameo, bringing authenticity to the film. Stuntman James Courtney will still reprise most of the role, though.
